Boring Ol’ Monday

When I got to work this morning, a couple of my co-workers mentioned they were in bad moods or suffering from winter depression. Sadly, but gladly, I realized I wasn’t alone anymore! I definitely admitted that I was crabby all weekend and still wanted to, uh, “do some damage”. (I used other words, but to keep from sounding like a threat or a terrorist, I’ll just leave it at “do some damage”…) Anyway, guess it’s the weather. Which then had me Googling (at work…I know…I’m such a bad employee…) what states were the unhappiest. I was sad to discover that Oregon was the #1. I’m still considering that maybe the survey isn’t right…?

You’ll be happy to know that I am now out of my crappy mood. 🙂 Thanks to releasing some happy endorphin’s at spinning tonight. There was lots of sweat and “hovering”, and those 2 things always make for a good spin class. I just love Amy’s spinning classes because she always has LOTS of hovering.

happy women

And that’s it friends. My boring ol’ Monday. Now I’m off to do a little more packing, catch up on some blogs, and see if the Food Network will create a new show for me.

PEACE!

  1. Oh no, I recently took a trip to Oregon for the first time and couldn’t believe how nice and happy everyone seemed! I hope that’s not right… my husband and I are seriously considering a move up there!

  2. Winter definitely makes us unhappy! Today the sun is out so I am cool with it 🙂
The past couple of times that I have felt crabby I texted a friend to see if they wanted to run and viola – crabbiness crushed! Glad to hear spinning did the same for you 🙂

  3. Love your blog!! I live in the humid South and have had my times to strongly complain about it too. After this past January though and our first winter “freezing rain and sheet” storm since 1979, well, let’s just say you won’t hear me complain about our hot humid summers for a VERY long time. ^_^ The point of telling you that was that I can kinda sorta relate now to those that deal with “winter” in it’s true form and why they feel a bit pushed to “do some damage” HeHe

  4. I need to get back to my exercise routine that I’ve been out of since November!! I feel like I’m in such a funk with all this cold and snow and now exercise!! I may have to find some workouts the kids and I can do in the living room if we get snowed in!

  5. I am happiest when the sun is shining…I know my moods definitely suffer on dreary days, especially if they go on for a while. This winter has been more dreary than usual and we’re getting another storm tonight! Crazy! My husband was joking about the possibility of the kids having the next two days off when they already have a 4 day weekend…6 days off school and housebound?!! Oh boy. Visiting from #sitsblogging.

  6. I’ve been to Oregon. I cannot believe that it is number one. Some survey said the Broome County, NY area had issue of depression and obesity. A local girl scout did a county wide scavenger hunt as her Gold Project to prove there was so much to do here.

    • Oh wow! I think it’s really important to get involved and have things to do if it’s a depressing city/state or just a dark time of year. And if there isn’t much to do, it helps making friends and start some activity up that could get people involved! We have the power!

  7. If it makes you feel better, I suffer from Winter blues even at Summer time lol. Particularly at certain times a month. And I’m really scary too 🙂

  8. So glad to find you through SITS! Ive been the same way… I’ve set up my bike in my den and turn up the music and it’s the only thing that helps lately. This snow and cold has got to go away soon! If not, I need to try wine (soon)!

  10. I took a few spinning classes in college – they are quite good! I bought an elliptical in October and really need to get back to using it regularly – I always feel better when I do! I hope you have a good rest of your week.
